This is a health blog. But let’s think about health for a second: is health just the wellbeing of your own body? The best way to have a healthy body is to surround yourself with healthy people, lifestyles, and habits. It’s a holistic choice in most cases; people that go on diets and actually lose weight, also tend to start working out, organize their schedules more efficiently and invest more in their relationships. Ultimately they are happy because they feel good about what they are doing.
The relationship between humans and the earth is no different. Earth is our home, but according to any and all news surrounding us, it seems that our actions are taking a toll on mother nature whether we intend to or not. Humans cannot just turn their heads though because as some might say, if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. So be a part of the solution! There are many creative, and sometimes fun, ways to go green. Follow this infographic and be inspired! Not only does it look cool, but it really offers some great tips for minimizing damage to our home.
Note: Keep in mind that whether or not you believe in global warming, that’s up to you. There are so many varying opinions from “complete and total denial”, to “sure but it’s not the fault of mankind”, to “let’s all become hippies and live off the land.” The point is, Earth is changing faster than elections can roll by and congressmen can argue about it in their “bipartisan” debates. So even if you don’t agree that global warming is slowly encompassing this Earth, find a personal reason to incorporate a little more “greenness” in your daily routine, and educate yourself a little bit.
